. Summary
In 1973, Avance began its first Parent and Child Education Program, in the Mirasol Family Center that was once known as the William Zale Center. This program began with a small group that grew enormously over the years serving families from the local community. These past couple of years the Mirasol Family Center, was relocated for renovation reasons. The Center has moved around from the Lincoln Heights Courts to the Calderon Boys & Girls Club, and now a couple of years later, the Mirasol Family Center has come back home where it all began, servicing a new generation.
